About Me

About Me.

Since I was young, I’ve been taught that I can do hard things, and as I’ve grown up I’ve made an explicit effort to make sure that statement is as true as possible.

I have been a leading actor in seven musical (soprano/alto) and dramatic productions, am a published journalist with three years of experience as an intern in the local newspaper, recipient of the Brown University Book award, ‘Best Delegate’ Award recipient during a Model UN Conference and ranked as Top Performing Student at The New York Times Summer Academy.

In addition to this, my poetry has won national awards and has been printed in various publications. I have also edited the English version of Patricia Eckenrod’s book, "Paradise of Emeralds". I work hard and do my best to go that extra mile simply because I love what I do; this is not work, this is a manifestation of a passion which I discovered when I was 10 years old: writing.

Being raised by a Hispanic working mom, hard work, problem solving and team work have been the corner stone of my upbringing. Other interests include laughing with friends, playing video games, practicing aikido, traveling, and writing self-indulgent poetry. I am bilingual (English/Spanish), a citizen in three countries (United States, Spain, Mexico), well-traveled (Asia, Americas & Europe) and I consider myself an adventurous eater. In ten years, I see myself travelling the world in order to document what’s going on and have the capacity to offer a nuanced opinion on it following years of studies in comparative politics and writing. I truly believe that the best way to motivate change is to raise awareness about facts.
